Mark started his apprenticeship with Ashby & Horner at 16 back in 1989, where he worked for 3.5 years and gained a City & Guilds and Advanced Craft certificate in Carpentry & Joinery.
Ashby and Horner were a very prestigious company, having the Royal Crest and worked in Buckingham Palace, as well as other historical buildings around London.
After attaining his Carpentry qualifications, he studied construction managment for a further 2 years. It was during this time that he started to work for Overbury Restorations Ltd as a trainee site manager, learning key management skills, and further developed his wider knowledge of the construction industry.
Having worked for Overbury in different divisions for 2 years in management, he went back to his love of working on the tools. Working in different sectors like Pub and club fit outs, Hotels, Listed buildings, High end residential fit outs, Mark further honed his skills both on and off the tools.
Mark has successfully run Joinery fit outs up to 5£m, in the past, working with high end Joinery contractors.
MJJ Projects was started in 2013, where they continue to offer a turn key package to suit the need of the client, understanding their requirements and working closely alongside them.
MJJ have trained supervisors, solid surface fabricators, BM TRADA accredited ‘Fire Door Installers’ and ‘Fire Door Maintainers’.
